“Trailer Backing Pro”
What does this product do for me?
See
Safety Policy below
The “Trailer Backing Pro” is
intended to assist experts and novices with the
art of backing their trailer in parking lots and on boat launching
ramps. There are four models to be marketed. “Trailer Backing
Pro” is designed in four lengths: 2ft, 3ft, 4ft, and 5ft. The
“Trailer Backing Pro is not intended for highway use”. The intended
tow vehicles must have a factory installed 2” x 2” receiver hitch.
The Trailer Backing Pro is easy to use. After you get off of the
highway, all you have to do is swap your vehicle’s 2”x2”
receiver hitch with the new hitch extension after arriving at the
marina, and reattach your
safety chains.
The recommended length for
each type of vehicle could be different.
The correct length is based on measuring the wheel-base (front
wheels to rear wheels) of the tow vehicle and distance from the rear
axle to the rear bumper. The length of the trailer hitch extension
needs to be of a combination length of the center of the rear wheel
to the bumper and the length of one of the Trailer Backing Pro
models. The correct combined length will measure approximately 60 per cent
of the wheel-base measurement. The One of these choices will be
suitable to meet the 60± per cent goal to meet the needs of your
vehicle. Read on:
The normal wheel-base
of present day SUVs and automobiles are
quite often met with the design of a very short undercarriage
extending from the rear wheels to the trailer ball. When this
measurement is short, the driver must really exercise their steering
wheel turns to maintain a straight line while backing the trailer. Follow
the above formula approach and you will have a tool that will
balance the steering ratio of your vehicle to where backing will
become a simpler task. Even those folks who feel that they
don't need any help will have something to gain.
Short/small trailers,
increase/decreased lines of vision. The Trailer Backing Pro also
offers benefit in that visibility is improved while backing. It is
easier to see around the sides of the trailer and the visual depth
of field is greatly improved. Sometimes a person backing a personal
watercraft cannot see their PWC while backing, and especially cannot
see an empty trailer when it is time to retrieve it. The
recommended length for this trailer type should be 4 feet or
5 feet.
The “Trailer Backing Pro” does
not facilitate other attachments, as it comes with a trailer ball
already mounted and intended for a trailer coupler for local
maneuvering.

Shallow slope launching ramp. Another
advantage to be appreciated with the use of “Trailer Backing Pro” is
in conjunction with a “shallow slope” launching ramp when backing a
boat trailer. Trailer Backing Pro has many uses, but one of the
easiest benefits to recognize is how it will you back a boat trailer
deeper into the water to launch or retrieve it. This example
shows that a deep keel sailboat which needs an extension for the
trailer tongue can still benefit from a few more feet when the water
is low.
The automobile need not get swamped as with the use of the
traditional hitch. The vehicle owner stands a better chance of
launching and retrieving a boat without getting the brakes wet on
the vehicle.
Here the trailer extension is collapsed, and the
hitch extension will help maneuver the long trailer around the ramp
and parkinglot.

Maneuvering forward through a congested parking
lot. Even though the “Trailer Backing
Pro” is intended for backing, it has value for maneuvering forward
through a congested parking lot. With the “newly extended”
wheel-base of the tow vehicle, the trailer will now “track” its
wheels a lot closer to the tracks of the tow vehicle. It will be
easier to steer clear of nearby vehicles or other obstacles such as
a curb on the corner of the parking lot.
The picture below in intended to show the tracking
path of the trailer wheels. It will be easier to make turns around
fixed obstructions and maintain safe clearance.

Safety Policy
Trailer Backing Pro has proven to be wonderful at
helping to improving the backing skills of many people. It has
shown many benefits while being used at the launching ramp or the
maneuvering in the parking lot of the marinas. Trailer Backing
Pro is NOT approved for use on public roads or highways.
You should always remove this extended hitch from your vehicle and
replace it with your regular 2"x2" receiver hitch that you have
always used. This will maintain the driving stability that you
are familiar with. Your shopping cart purchase process of the
Trailer Backing Pro will require that you agree to never use it on
public roads or highways.
